The ghost slowly fades away, leaving them with their question unanswered. The ghost has left. Horatio is pale and trembling he now believes in the ghost. Marcellus says that the ghost comes at the exact time in the exact place and Horatio says the ghost wore the exact same armour that the King did when he fought The King Of Norway. Horatio says, somehow that this could be bad news to our country.

Shakespeare - Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 1
Two watchmen are out guarding, Francisco and Barnado. Horatio and Marcellus appear to guard with Barnado tonight. Francisco has done guarding and heads home. Horatio, Marcellus and Barnado are on watch, they talk about the 'thing' which is the ghost. Horatio doesn't believe it exists. Marcellus says that it is true, and that it might appear tonight so Horatio would believe him. Marcellus says he could talk to the ghost, but Barnado says it's nonsense. Barnado sits by Horatio and Marcellus and tells them a story of the ghost. The ghost enters and Marcellus says It's appeared again. Barnado says it looks like the king. Horatio ask's the ghost a question ' What are you, that you walk out so late at night, looking like the dead king of Denmark when he dressed for battle? By God, I order you to speak'
